2-5 days for individuals, families, groups of adults & young people. It is up to you - mix and match!
It is up to you - mix and match! Be as active and as adventurous as you like for as many days as you like - or have a day off in between to chill out and relax or do something different. Our courses are all outdoor skills based with the chance to learn how to climb mountains, scale crags, paddle rivers & lochs or explore our wonderful coastline.
There is the option to take part in adventure based, adrenaline pumping activities with friends & family – or join a group. An ideal way to spend a stress busting week end or short break in wonderful outdoor surroundings at your doorstep.
Or explore the challenges and delights of the great outdoors at a slightly more relaxed pace in the company of other like minded folks. Many folks aspire to "have a go" at various adventure sports - before committing themselves to buying expensive gear and equipment, or paying to attend a longer course. These are days to teach you the basic skills to get a feel for your chosen activity in safe, controlled environment. The laughs, crack and fun come free!
We run these Outdoor Activity breaks and week ends usually from April - September for individuals, families and groups. We do have a daily programme for ease of organisation for individuals and couples – this can the chance to join other folks on the activity of your choice. If you are a larger group or family we are more than happy to arrange a programme to fit in with your daily requirements.
A family or group booking can be made when we can arrange alternative days to suit your group's requirements. We do not normally do half days for rock climbing and hill walking activities unless for a group booking of a minimum of 4 persons is made, when we can arrange alternative days to suit your requirements).

Some day activities will require some previous experience and some minimum ages apply – please ask.
Level of Activity | The above prices apply only to Beginner / Improver levels of taster days – where the standard ratios will apply. Where a lower ratio is required on intermediate or advanced skills training, then our more advanced Private Guiding fees will apply.
Maximum Ratios | In order that you can gain maximum benefit from these sessions we limit numbers to 1 instructor to 6 or 8 clients - depending on the activity. We are able to take up to around 40 folks at one time, though all will not be necessarily be doing the same activity at the same time. Normally we operate on a maximum group size of 6-8 students with at least one lead instructor.
Minimum Numbers | We usually only run an activity with minimum of 3 persons. However, we do provide for lower numbers at an additional cost or on our Private Guiding rates.

You will need a packed lunch / flask / something to drink on the full day's activity.
NOTE: We do not recommend rock climbing or High Mountain Walking as a half day activity – we do not consider that these are practical or value for money.
